Swistherm EWI - New Build

Key Features & Applications

• A BBA approved, fully warranted system with an effective life in excess of 30 years
• Swistherm is fully weather resistant whilst remaining vapour permeable and allows the fabric of the building to act as a heat store, increasing thermal efficiency
• The system eliminates cold bridging, condensation and mould growth and protects the structural fabric, limiting movement and thermal shock and freeze-thaw cycles associated with traditional brickwork façades
• The Swistherm EWI system is highly resistant to impact damage, is rated Class 0 for surface spread of flame and contributes to sound reduction within the external wall construction

Applications

• Construction Types – primarily suited to new-build construction types where the structure provides continuous support for the insulation slabs
• Buildings up to 6 Storeys – suited for unrestricted use; High Rise - suitable subject to Alumasc’s high rise policy

Insulation

• Insulation slabs are mechanically fixed direct to a continuous substrate. A choice of insulation thicknesses and materials are available, achieving very low U-values
• Swistherm insulation options include Mineral Wool, Expanded Polystyrene and Cork.

Renders, Finishes & Brick Slips

• Render finishes include ST Silkolitt Silicone Render and ST Mineral K Mineral Render, available with a rolled surface texture, in a wide range of colours.
  Brick slip options include Alumasc Acrylic Brick Slips.

Installation & Maintenance

• Swistherm is installed by a national network of Alumasc approved specialist contractors
• The system requires minimal routine maintenance
